Chiyoca/Chiyotax cameras were made by Reise Kogaku snd sold through
Chiyoda Shokai (Chiyoda trading) , hence first named Chiyoca but the
name was already registered by Chiyoda Kogaku (Minolta) and consequently
Changed to Chiyotax.

The first Chiyoca I appeared around 1951 or 1952. It was probably the only
Japanese Leica Standard copy. Then a sync contact was added and became IF.
The first lens came with the Chiyoca I was a Hexar 5cm/F3.5. But this
lens was not supplied from Konishiroku, rather this is a combination of
Hexar enlarging lens available on the market and a homemade helicoid.
The Chiyoca IIF came out around 1954 with a coupled rangefinder.
It was fitted with a Lena Q.C. 5cm/F3.5 collapsible lens.

Then the name was changed to Chiyotax and the Chiyotax IIF was with
slow shutter settings. The name was soon changed to Chiyotax IIIF but
they are basically the same camera and not much change except the
name can be found.
