C.Simlar 9cm F4

This lens was prodeced in extremely small number (I assume less than 20).
It looks very old (note the Continantal apperture setting).
As the C.Simlar 5cm was made around '47-48,
this lens may be of the same vintage.

w/elmar9cm head removed
The C.Simlar looks similar to Elmar 9cm/F4 of
the period. But they differ in several places.
Both are of the Tessar type design but the spacings
between lenses are wider in C.Simlar, hence longer barrel.

C.Simlar with Elmar and later Topcor 9cm

helicoid extended lenshead
helicoid extended to minimum distance
note the depth of field marks in both sides
apperture blades look nearer and the
coating looks more effective in Elmar

finders finder frames
Old and new finders for 9cm
the new finder also has 5cm and 13.5cm frame
in Van Albada type lifesize optics
