トプコンレンジファインダーカメラ
Early Topcon Rangefinder cameras

In the back on top of the original box is the Topcon 35S
In the front row from the right, a pair of prewar Tokyo Kogaku
binoculars, Topcon 35JL, Topcon 35A, Topcon 35B behind the 80mm
viewfinder, Minion C, a 80mm F5.6 Topcor,Topcon 35L with meter,
a 35mm f3.5 Leica screw mount Topcor, the can for the 80mm lens
and a Leica screw mount 90mm F3.5 Topcor.

Tokyo Kogaku began manufacturing 35mm cameras (Minion A,B and C)after
WWII without much success. At that time 6x6 format was popular and
Topcon also concentrated on PRIMOFLEX and other TLR production.
After a while, Topcon again introduced a 35mm camera, Topcon 35A('53).
It had a interchangeable lens system and a 80mm F5.6 lens was supplied.
Following it came the Topcon 35B('55) with coupled rangefinder which only
coupled to the standard lens. The Topcon 35B was short lived and replaced
by the all new, much adorable Topcon 35S('56). It featured a modern styling
with lifesize(1:1) rangefinder with automatic parallux compensation
and (most of all) the ever prominent Topcor 44mm F2 lens.
There followed the Topcon 35L('57) with an uncoupled serenium meter.
And finally the Topcon 35JL('57) with F2.8 lens and marked the end of
the Topcon 35mm rangefinder cameras. From a reliable source I heard
that the F2.8 Topcor on the JL really was a F2 lens just stopped down
to sell at a less expensive price than a Topcon 35L and both cameras
were otherwize the same cameras.
