Aires Camera co. had been established in 1949 as Yallu Optical co.
Their first camera was the Yallu (named after the river in northern
Korea). It was a 35mm twin lens reflex camera.
It was a prototype and only about 50 were made and handed to
camera stores as samples. Probably because it took little attention,
they switched to the production of then popular 6x6 TLRs and also
changed their name to Aires Camera co.
Their Airesflex became popular and the series included models with
the Nikkor lenses. The Aires Automat is considered to be one of
the best TLR cameras in Japan.
In 1954, they introduced their first 35mm camera. Soon after they saw
Leica M3, they added a bright frame finder to their first camera and
launced the Aires 35II. It was in the Autumn of 1954, only 6 months
after the Leica M3.
They closed their bussiness in 1960. The last camera, the Aires Penta
was renamed to the Aires Ever and sold by their mortgagers.

Aires Viceroy(1957?)

Little is known about this camera.
This camera was based on a Mine 6 body coupled with an
Aires made range finder. Very few number was made and
exported to the south east Asia.

Aires 35V(1958)

A really "de Lux" camera with a remarkably fast 4.5cm F1.5
standard lens and interchangeble wide and tele lenses.
A camera with such overspec'd features result in a financial crysis.
